“The course gave me the confidence that I needed along with the knowledge and experience to offer implant surgery to my patients. After passing the written exam, I’m currently on my way to completing the requirements for the AAID Associate Fellowship, something I hadn’t even considered prior to the course. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about the course or my experience.” – Jim Sands DDS

Q: Is this course for beginners or advanced students?
A: This course is a comprehensive course in Implant Dentists for all levels of experience. We will take you from the very beginning of your Implant Education, laying the foundation for complete understanding. Because of our mixture of didactic and hands-on experiences that go hand-in-hand, there is truly something for every level of dentist to learn.
Q: I’m looking to become credentialed, will this course help?
A: Yes, the AAID Maxicourse is designed to prepare you to sit for the Part One Associate Fellowship Written Exam given by the AAID. The lecture topics are designed to give you the knowledge and understanding to pass the exam. We also provide a review session during the last module and provide study materials. You will also earn the required 300 CEs to be eligible to sit for the exam.
Q: I already took the written exam, I need to study for Part II, will this course help?
A: Yes, during the course many lectures provide key information needed for passing the Oral Exam for the AAID Exam. You’ll learn the case types, how to diagnose, plan, treat, and restore the cases you will need in order to sit for the oral exam. We also offer additional training for the oral exam for an add-on fee, as well as one on one training.
Q: Are there hands-on experiences?
A: Yes, we provide a hands-on experience at every module to coincide with the lectures. We also do suturing on pig jaws, implant placement on models, implant placement and restorative procedures on mannequins in a sim-lab, and implant placement, bone grafting, and advanced techniques on cadavers.
Q: I’m already placing implants, will I still gain something from this course?
A: Yes. Because we are a comprehensive Implant Course, we take you from the beginning, medical evaluation, treatment planning, then through the steps of placing implants, restoring them, advanced procedures, and finally various complications that arise and how to handle them. No matter where you are in your implant career, a review on the basics can always help build your foundation and help you improve so the first module may be a little bit of review, but we do cover advanced topics as well.
Q: What type of implants are used during the course?
A: Our goal as an Implant Course is to expose you to numerous brands and systems so you can find what works best for you as a clinician.
